Host Committee Responsibilities

● Work with the committee and staff to identify and approach prospective supporters, and utilize their own network of business colleagues and friends to encourage them to support GLSEN's work by purchasing sponsorships, tables, tickets, or make a donation in lieu of attending the event.

● Purchase or secure a sponsorship, table, or ticket for themselves and attend the event. If they invite people to join as their guests, encourage their guests to make a financial contribution at the event.

● Utilize their network of support to bring in additional committee members to grow GLSEN's network of support in Southern California.

● Serve as thought partners in recruiting talent and participants through personal and professional networks.

● Attend committee meetings and check-ins when possible held over Zoom. If unable to attend, offline communication can be arranged directly with the events team.

● Host Committee members are not asked to help with event logistics or

planning. Staff and vendors will handle these responsibilities.
