In October 2023, GLSEN returned to Los Angeles for a night of unforgettable memories, fighting for & celebrating LGBTQ+ youth!

An outspoken advocate for the rights, acceptance, and well-being of LGBTQ+ youth, we were thrilled to honor Annette Bening with the Advocate Award. With the Visibility Award, we recognized Orville Peck for breaking barriers in country music and for serving as a beacon of hope for LGBTQ+ youth currently experiencing harmful discrimination and legislation across the country. Noah Cyrus and Iniko dazzled the audience with stunning performances, as did a surprise duet by GLSEN Board Chair Wilson Cruz and Wayne Brady! This special evening was hosted by Mo Heart, who brought together stories from our brave educators and student leaders — integral to creating safe and inclusive school environments for LGBTQ+ students.
